Get the cheapest, highest capacity you can find. I have 1GB in my carputer and it runs pretty quickly on a full Windows XP install (I'll get to this later). 2GB would be even better, but it's not really double sided tapes necessary and I doubt you'll see a speed increase.

Now, adhesives come in many forms. You can use a simple glue stick, however, it is very messy. I would recommend a glue runner or double sided tape. Either one of these adhesives are easy to use and not messy. Make sure that the adhesive you choose is acid free.

A guillotine - A guillotine is an absolute essential as far as I'm concerned. Guillotines give the accuracy that scissors can't provide. Try and get a guillotine with changeable blades as it gives you more choice as to what kind of cut you want. For example my guillotine had a straight blade, a vintage edge blade and a wave blade.
